Frequently Asked Questions

How do I clean it?

Just rinse well after each use. For a deeper clean, boil occasionally or soak in baking soda + vinegar. You can also use CAFIZA if you want to use a detergent.

Will it fit my brewer?

Chemex and V60 filters are one size, but cone brewers can vary between a #2 and a #4. #2's are typically for 1-4 cup brewing, and #4's for 8-12.

For us, we like to use #4 exclusively for our pour over coffees. Gives us room if we need it.

How long does it last?

While it will obviously vary with how often you use it, with regular use and care, each filter can last up to 6 months.

That said, we typically change our every 3 months to enjoy the best possible cups.

How do I know when to clean my filters?

The biggest tale tale sign it's time to clean your filter will be taste. With use, the filtered oils build up and start to impact the flavor. No worries. Simply clean it, and enjoy.

Will it affect the taste?

Only in the best way. Cloth lets natural oils through, giving your coffee a fuller body and cleaner finish.
